- Low Energy Gamma Scintillator
- Neutron
- etc.
Area Monitoring System
Providing digital area monitoring systems using a different types of radiation detectors (i.e. CsI Detector, Internal Energy Compensated GM, Internal NaI Scintillator, etc). Compacted & easy to use, Ludlum’s area monitoring system is a price-competitive option for a wide range of applications.
Scalers & Counters
Ludlum provides a wide range of scalers/counters that when combined with radiation detectors, can be used as sample counting systems.
Environmental Radiation Detection
Standard detectors range from Dual GM tubes (high dose tube & low dose tube), Ion chamber and Scintillators for spectroscopy. NaI(Tl), LaBr3(Ce) and CdTeZn are utilized to measure and analyze spectrum.Various types of detectors may be incorporated into the system to optimize it into the operation purpose and installation environment.
Mobile
Developed to support nuclear emergency preparedness, the stationary radiation detector allows regulatory more speedy installation and minimized radiation exposure. Its patented design, named ‘METRO’, is dedicated to speedy on-site deployment, quick start of system operation and permanent system survivability through solar power.
Best applied as an alternative environmental radiation monitoring post in order to supplement existing stationary posts, which may be damageable by unexpected natural disasters such as tsunami.
Stationary
EFRD 3300 features SI’s Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA) to provide stable dose rate measurement as well as discrimination of natural and artificial radiation. It especially features low noise ADC, fast and flexible MCA, low power consumption, user friendly interfaces and high system extendibility.
It has improved user friendly interfaces through extensive experience of user applications. Data transmission for integrated operation data including real time dose rate via Wi-Fi, GSM, CDMA to remote users allows early detection and effective analysis.
Area Radiation Detection
An intelligent multi-purpose gamma detector, the environmental radiation detector is designed to be operatedinside/outside the nuclear related facilities such as NDT facilities, nuclear power plants and hospitals with radiological treatment. It provides continuous gamma radiation monitoring at the specific place and added value through easy addition of extra sensors. It displays dose rate information through built-in LCD and transmits dose rate data to remote users. Its patented design, named ‘ARMO’, is dedicated to easy installation, maintenance-friendly operation and user-friendly design. Available in a standalone or multi-head for with external probe heads.
Stand-alone
EFRD 2100 is an intelligent multi-purpose gamma detector, designed to be operated
inside/outside the nuclear related facilities such as NDT facilities, nuclear power plants and hospitals with radiological treatment.
Multi-Head
EFRD 2100 RM is designed to support extendable sensor heads up to 4 probe units for multiple spot monitoring, which enables wide area facility monitoring.
EFRD 2100 RM has been incorporated inside semiconductor inspection rooms, nondestructive inspection facilities and hospitals.
It provides continuous Gamma and/or X-ray radiation monitoring at the specific place by displaying dose rate information and by transmitting dose rate data to remote users.
Nuclear Security & Safeguards
ORTEC is an industry leader in developing HPGe (High Purity Germanium) and scintillation technology based instrumentation and systems for gamma radiation detection and identification. Combining this technology with advanced neutron detection capability, ORTEC offers a comprehensive suite of solutions to meet today’s challenges in interdiction, material safeguarding and nuclear accident response.
Hand-Held Radioisotope Identifiers (HHRIIDs)
Since 2004, ORTEC Detective Family Hand-Held Radioisotope Identifiers (HHRIIDS or RIIDS) have been in the front line of operations to interdict the illicit trafficking of nuclear materials worldwide.
Mobile Radiation Detection
ORTEC’s line of gamma and neutron detection instruments are simple to use and designed for nuclear search and emergency response.
Whether you need to search for elevated sources of radioactivity or to resolve whether an alarm is the result of cosmic background, radiation emitted from an industrial source, or from special nuclear material, with ORTEC’s top of the line detection systems, you can be certain of a correct answer every time.
Chemical Weapons Identification
Portable Isotopic Neutron Spectroscopy (PINS) Systems have been deployed world-wide; increasingly, being deployed as part of national counter-terrorist efforts. PINS provides a non-contact and non-destructive means of identifying the CHEMICAL contents of “suspect” packages.
