A CNG conversion kit is designed to be installed in a gasoline vehicle and allows it to run on gasoline natural gas. 

The conversion kit includes a CNG cylinder, a pressure regulator, fuel injector and an electronic control unit. 

Timing Advance Processor (TAP) adjusts the original vehicle’s ignition time by adjusting crankshaft position sensor signals sent to its electronic control unit, which can advance original coil of the ignition point and optimize operation of the engine when using CNG.

TAP improves flexibility of CNG powered engines, decreases gas fuel consumption, reduces back-fire risk, maintain nominal engine power when using CNG.

Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is the brain of the entire CNG sequential system. It controls the fuel injection in the car engine. In the CNG sequential system, the CNG ECU is synchronized with the gasoline ECU to give an identical performance with both fuels, i.e. CNG and gasoline.

A reducer/vaporizer is to reduce pressure of gas supplied from CNG cylinder from 200 bar to 2 bar or less (depends on the requirement) before it enters the vehicle engine and to maintain as static pressure.

The main function of a filter is to catch and remove contaminants such as oil, water, particulates from the compressed gas stream in a vehicle. Regular filter replacement is critical to ensure smooth gas supply to the engine. 

A fuel-rail is a device that transports fuel at a specified pressure and flow rate, from the fuel chassis lines to the fuel injectors. The fuel rail also maintain the position of the injector, which aids in the correct spray pattern of the fuel to intake valve.

The MAP sensor provides instant manifold pressure information to the engine’s electronic control unit. The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine’s air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel delivery for perfect combustion.

Filling port that is used for filling CNG from CNG refueling station (SPBG) into CNG cylinder storage in a vehicle.  

A compressed gas cylinder require the installation of at least one valve. The valve allows the CNG cylinder to contain gases and allows gas to be filled into or emptied from the cylinder and is perhaps the most vulnerable part of the cylinder.
